| Guessing unkown words |
|
A game commonly used in language classes is slightly adapted for learners with communication difficulties. Students think of a previously learned word and try to use it in a sentence: Instead of the word, they say the word “teapot”. Example: "We, disabled people don’t want other people to teapot (exclude) us. We want to take part in the society. We want the people include us”.
The other students try to
guess what the word is.
Note: The original version is 'coffee pot' but this is unnecessarily challenging: F is one of several sounds that is difficult to lipread, and difficult for profoundly deaf people to learn to say.
