- I have noticed (with my daughter), that she learns best when given information verbally. She remembers how to spell the words, and is
capable of learning new things if given verbally. We simply say a word
then spell it for her. She is able to see the letters (in her minds
eye) this way. When she is learning a new language, we teach her
verbally while supplementing with the written words. If we teach her
this way, she is able to retain more information and retain it
correctly.
- With my dyscalculia, I have trouble with numbers (mostly), and
formulas. Since I only recently found out why these things are
difficult for me, I am still learning new ways to cope with this
disability. I find that if I write the numbers out in words I do much
better.
