Fewer than 5% of visually impaired people see nothing at all. Many more are legally blind: though remaining sight is very useful for daily living, they cannot effectively study using regular books and taking notes. Alternative formats, such as Brailled texts and digitalised materials may be needed. Ask your student what way they prefer to learn.
